Financial Controller – English Speaking (Fulltime)

At MS Mode & America Today, we are looking for a Financial Controller who combines strong analytical skills with a hands-on mindset. In this role, you play a key part in understanding our business performance and strengthening financial control across the organization.

You will work closely with colleagues across finance, retail, and operations, ensuring that our numbers not only reflect reality, but also help drive the right business decisions.

What you’ll do

As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for delivering clear financial insights and supporting decision-making across the business.

You prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. You monitor performance and clearly explain variances versus budget and forecast. You dive into P&L performance and identify key business drivers such as sales, margins, and costs. You also support budgeting and forecasting processes.

You monitor and analyze goods movements across purchasing, inventory, and sales. You ensure accurate inventory valuation and perform reconciliations. You identify risks related to stock, shrinkage, and obsolescence, working closely with supply chain, merchandising, and retail teams.

You manage cash flow and support liquidity planning. You contribute to optimizing working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables, and monitor bank positions and payment flows.

You actively contribute to improving financial processes and strengthening internal controls. You support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.

What you bring

·         You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field;

·         You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a controlling role;

·         You are analytically strong, detail-oriented, and have experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Dynamics;

·         You have advanced Excel skills and a proactive, hands-on mindset;

·         You communicate easily with different stakeholders and enjoy working in an international hybride environment.

·         You are fluent in English (Dutch is a plus, but not required);

·         You are flexible and enjoy working at least 2 days per week from the office together with the finance team.
